Limitless

There is no finish line.
Remember to remember that.

Life seems much more natural to enjoy when you learn to let go a little. I used to be one to worry much more than I currently have the energy to do. However, after experiencing these last five years in New York City, I was taught just that - How to experience experiences.

There are times to brave and those to swallow.
Moments to embrace, and instances that become us.

Take a step back before getting trapped in the little things. Look with greater inspection lest the details escape you. Every minute that is will never be all that there was. The present is not all that there will be.

There are timelines respective to all things.
- Countdowns, deadlines, expirations and alarms.

While we await, fear, prepare for, or could never have expected these things.. Remember. They were placed there with intent.

The universe has a subtle design.

And when these timelines cross, collide, connect, it is the most beautiful of beings, the most consuming of feelings.

There is no finish line,
because time is absolute.

Artist Roman Ondak’s interactive installation titled Measuring the Universe started as a blank white room and evolved into a strip of black marks around the gallery space. Through the participation of over 90,000 visitors measuring themselves and marking it on the walls, the art piece becomes a personal and abstract display.

Lord Byrhtnoth

Character design concept by Curt Pardee.

Look at us, running around, always rushed, always late. Guess that’s why they call it the human race. But sometimes it slows down just enough for all the pieces to fall into place. Fate works its magic. And you’re connected. Every once in awhile amid all the randomness, something unexpected happens and it pushes us all forward. And the truth is, what I’m starting to think, what I’m starting to feel, is that maybe the human race isn’t a race at all.

Synopsis

In 991 A.D, the Vikings, led by King Olaf Tryggvason, launch a coastal invasion of Anglo-Saxon England. Their next target is the town of Maldon, which is protected by Lord Byrhtnoth, an old enemy of the raiding Northmen. The story centers around Byrhtnoth’s most loyal retainer, Godric.

When the Vikings finally attack, Byrhtnoth makes a critical tactical error based on pride and hubris, leading to his death and Maldon’s occupation. Rather than fulfill his vow and die next to his liege lord, Godric flees in the heat of battle so he can survive and claim vengeance.

Looked down upon by his fellow warriors and the local chieftains, Godric wanders the land an outcast and a marked coward. The only way for him to honor his broken oath is to stay true to a new vow - Kill King Olaf Tryggvason.

I wish I were a dancer and could dance a room to silence with melodies coinciding with beating hearts. I wonder what it would be like to be the spectacle, displaying my every move, all my contours, all of me.
